I received a notification saying I was verified, but my name isn't green/I don't have a badge on my profile

We have two tiers of verified accounts—if your name isn't green, you were likely Tier I verified -> More on verified account tiers.

How do I change my profile picture/header?

• Go to your profile
• In the "Edit Artist Profile" section, you can replace your "Avatar" and "Cover Art"

How do I add a cover to my album?

• Go to your album's page on Genius
• Click "Edit Album Info"
• Click "Edit Cover Art"

How do I get followers?

You can gain followers by promoting your account—make a post in the Verified Showcase forum or promote your account on your own socials.

How do I delete my song?

Verified Artists do not have the permission to delete their own songs—only editors+ can do this for you. If you'd like to have your song deleted, post in this thread.
An unrelated artist is appearing in my metadata, how do I remove them?

• Go to the song page
• Click "Edit Song Facts"
• Remove the artist and save

If this is a case where you've tried to enter in the artist's name, but it's automatically replaced by the name of another artist, you might have to get their names disambiguated. Learn more about disambiguation here.

How do I lock my page?

Verified Artists cannot lock their own pages—you'll have to reach out to an editor+ in the Genius Help Forum. If you'd like to lock your lyrics specifically, you can mark them as verified.

How do I get my bios reviewed?

Since bios are editable by the community and can't be verified, your bios will require review by an editor+. You can post here to have your bios accepted.

How do I change my name?

• Go to your profile page
• Click "Edit" under your profile picture
• If you want to change your artist name, replace the currently existing name in the "Artist Name" field and save
• If you want to change your username, click "Edit User Profile," replace the username, and save.

How do I get a Genius interview?

Genius interviews (all of our video series': Verified, Deconstructed, For The Record, Framework, IRL) are booked by our in-house Artist Relations team. If you think you/your artist might be a good fit for one of these series', reach out to streetlights.
