Accused of being born with sin

Thought I was not pure
Schools had to lock the fences
To keep predators out
Was beaten pretty bad
By street gangs who were
Against all gays in school
They wanted me to fail
They wanted me committed
They kicked in my front door
Cracked rocks at my windows
Scared for my life
I was thought to be gay
I was too scared to come out
I was really afraid
Death threats to kill me
For a mistaken identity
Was labeled mentally insane
Their truth remains
For being different
They couldn’t explain
Why I would act that way
