If you have the vision, Genius can help you make it happen. We want each of our Ambassadors to follow their own passions and build their own communities. Rap head? Find like-minded music critics, annotate songs, organize a battle, or even make a mix tape! Lit geek? Annotate the classics with peers, publish your scholarship on site, plan a reading with local professors and writers. Newshound? Rally your political group around annotating political debates ahead of the 2016 elections. Some of you might focus on organizing ongoing clubs, some of you might focus on one-off events. Maybe your Genius club is a film society, maybe it’s a history meetup. It’s all Genius, so let’s do it.
• Start your own Genius Club
• Host Genius events: Sign Up Parties, Site Tutorials, Annotate-athons, visits from Genius Staff
• Discover and coach other contributors in your community, IRL and on site
• Connect your teachers with the powerful tool that is Genius
• Collaborate with local and campus groups to share their knowledge and expertise on the site
• Support your activities and outreach with regular check-ins and social media RTs
• Supply tutorials for inaugural meetups and event planning
• Provide access to tons of Genius SWAG for giveaway and spreading love
• Constantly tell people how great you are, including writing you a reference for future school/job applications
• Become a leader in your RL and Genius communities
• Bring what you love to your home turf—harness the power of Genius to get the concerts, readings, and visitors you want to see
• Contribute to a major online knowledge project and spread the Genius movement
• Build relationships with scholars in your area and beyond
• Develop organizational and networking skills and add to your resume
