Cult Of Culture lyrics

by

MC Paul Barman

Yo, I got something to say:
"Climate change" replaced "Global Warming"
This cat, Frank Luntz, is a genius
With the propaganda to upend his bank funds
He was the brilliant one who brought us "climate change"
Who can argue with that?
"Change" is a beautiful thing
Climate is a beautiful thing
What, do you hate four temperate seasons?
"Global warming" ain't no joke, though
As long as progressives, even
Have adopted the hideous euphemism
"climate change" over "global warming,"
Why not change it once more?
"Climate catastrophe." "Climate crisis."
It would take some sort of cultish thinking
To get us thinking the wrong way
The self-destructive way
Robert J. Lifton deciphered the system
For indoctrination and this is his list-in:
Isolation, hunger, fatigue, stress
Fear-love relationships, unperceived threats
Violence (both physical and mental)
What are the objects?
Commerce, converts, and teaching disciples
That's the nuts and bolts of cults
We're kept from being adults
In a bread & circus bled of purpose
Until we're all dead & worthless
What else makes you feel that way?
Each time you pledge allegiance
Obeisance leads you astray
Easy for me to say
We all want to belong
Not everyone's lucky like me
My fam keeps me strong
Your cult got you believing in national borders
Following orders from some man on the quarter
I'm not saying all men are brothers
But we all came from Mother Earth, who loves us
Notably, not a mother-trucker above us
I'm not saying let's all hold hands across the equator
But lovers get brothers and haters get craters
