Ah Sun-flower! weary of time,
Who countest the steps of the Sun:(the sun flower turns and follows the sun)
Seeking after that sweet golden clime
Where the travellers journey is done.(the travellers journey is a nod to heaven)
Where the Youth pined away with desire,(he's referencing how the youth have desires and needs)
And the pale Virgin shrouded in snow:(the snow refers to emotional coldness and unsatisfaction)
Arise from their graves and aspire,
Where my Sun-flower wishes to go.(to those who died unfulfilled eventually rise and go to heaven almost mocking the sunflower since it cant go)
